I’m an LL.B. alumnus of the University of Edinburgh who’s lived on three continents and has been settled in the UK for the last ten years. Currently live in London having completed a diploma in English law, and am rather bored by routine.
I enjoy reading widely across the social sciences and examining what are often competing viewpoints. At Edinburgh I majored in IP, IT/Media and Company law and took minor honours in European Legal History and Jurisprudence. My day job is conducting research and analysis for a global political risk consultancy.
My aim with posts on law is to make the subject and profession more transparent. In particular I wish to draw attention to the wealth of ideas across philosophy, politics, sociology and economics which inform and shape the law.
In addition to longer essays, I also aim to provide shorter digests commenting on current affairs. Snippets, cartoons and generally miscellaneous notes can be found under clipboard musings.
I am generally available for freelance writing projects, and can produce reports, briefs and consult. Drop me a note if you’d like to work together or would like some research support.
If you have something to contribute, then please do so; I’m all ears and I thoroughly appreciate constructive discussions. Send me a message if you’d like to write something for the blawg.
Views expressed are otherwise my own.
